Bayside Church

The Bayside Jazz Band is the instrumental group that leads worship on a weekly basis at Bayside Community Church in Safety Harbor.  The band is made up of volunteers from the surrounding areas who serve their local congregation through their passion of instrumental music.  The band plays many genres of music including contemporary and traditional worship music, gospel and different jazz styles.  They have been the guest band for the December Third Friday events in downtown Safety Harbor at the gazebo playing Christmas favorites for the past several years.

Current worship leader, Shawn Viars has led the band for 9 years now and says that this band enjoys a lot of success because of the camaraderie the band shares.  Their commitment to serving the Lord in the local church setting and providing excellent music to their congregation are top priorities.  In addition to the jazz band the Praise Choir adds the vocal portion to the music ministry.  The entire group makes up the Worship Team at the church.

Bayside Church is located in Safety Harbor, 1 mile east of McMullen Booth Rd. on S.R. 580.  It is a vibrant and active fellowship of about 1000 people from all over the bay area.  The intergenerational mix of people gives the church a family feel while seeking to keep a balance between maturing in faith and reaching out to the community.  They extend an invitation to those wishing to explore and deepen their faith in Christ at either of their two Sunday services at 9:00am and 10:35am.
