Franco Silva - WMNF-Stage MC
Mr. Silva has been collecting Latin music since 1976 the year he got his first paying gig as a DJ.. Franco studied Theatre technology under Toshiro Ogawa at the city university of New York in the mid 80's The Silva family relocated to the Tampa Bay area in the late 80's Franco Silva has hosted a Latin based culture & music magazine at Tampa Bay community radio station WMNF since 1995 " It's hard to collect something you love and not learn a lot about it. I have learned so much about This music that it has truly become my passion to share all I can about it with whomever will listen" Franco has traveled to Cuba, Mexico and Puerto Rico to learn first hand about the roots of some of Latin music's most popular styles."
