Lannie Battistini

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Graduated with a B.A. degree from Berklee School of Music, Boston, majoring in arranging and composition with minors in film scoring and piano as main instrument.
Moved to Miami, Florida in 1984 where he had the opportunity to work as pianist and musical director for the Fountain Bleu Hilton and also for known artists such as Willie Chirino, Nelson Ned, Jose Luis Rodriguez, "EL Puma" for ten years.
Returned to Puerto Rico on 1994, founded the Hands in Motion Music. Inc. and worked as a freelance independent record & commercial Jingle producer while still performing as a jazz and pop artist through out Puerto Rico, the Caribbean at large, New York, Spain, Venezuela, Los Angeles and now in the Tampa Bay Area
Landin has over twenty five years of experience in live performances as a pianist/keyboardist, in the music genres of Straight-up jazz, Latin Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Bossa Nova, Broadway, Caribbean, Easy listening, Bohemian, Pop, Oldies, Salsa & Latin pop.
He was honored as Grammy winner with his participation in the 1999 Latin Pop category, "Olga Viva Olga" House of Blues, and has produced & directed numerous live jazz concerts in Puerto Rico sponsored by Heineken Jazz Series with full endorsements from Panasonic and the Casio Instrument line. His numerous music performances and recordings included Salsa, Rock, R&B, Jazz, Industrial, Hip-hop, New Age, Instrumental and Children's music for live TV shows.
Created the Hands In Motion Jazz Quintet in 2000 in which he performs a vast repertoire of "standard" oldies such as; Yesterdays, Uttle Sunflower, Green Dolphin Street, Night and Day, Besame Mucha, Tres Palabras, etc., combined with original compositions in the Latin jazz and other genres as well. His music has been heard in many Jazz festivals including the Heineken Jazz Fest, Borinquen Jazz Fest & the Clearwater Jazz Fest to name a few.
Has shared numerous live stage performances with known artists such as: Giovanni Hidalgo, Dave Valentin, Tito Puente, Papo Vazquez, Rie Akagi (The magic Flute from Japan), Humberto Ramirez and Jose Feliciano, to name a few. Also toured thru US and Latin America as keyboardist for internationally known Latin Pop artists such as Ednita Nazario, Olga Tanon, Victor Manuel and Melina Leon.
At present, he is living in the Tampa Bay area as well as headquartered his business while continuing to Produce CD albums for Independent Artists and Commercial Jingles. Recently he added the Creative Advertising/Marketing Dept. with Co-founder, VP Neysa Rodriguez.
Lannie continues performing live at various Bistros', Private events, Corporate Events, Non Profit events, Concerts, Jazz festivals & Jazz Clubs.
